Full text of South African High Court’s judgment enabling continuation of established program to relocate informal graves in vicinity of Ivanplats’ Platreef Project

The High Court of South Africa released its 15-page judgment on February 16, 2017, clearing the way for Ivanplats Pty. Ltd., an Ivanhoe Mines subsidiary, to resume its program to relocate informal graves — in close consultation with affected families — that have been identified in the vicinity of the company’s Platreef Mine development project. The decision originally was issued verbally February 2, 2017, following a court hearing.
