We Are Ivanhoe – Gödel Mulamba: Local Student to Mining Leader

Date de publication : 1 avr. 2025

Meet Gödel Mulamba, Superintendent II, Metallurgy at Kipushi Mine.  From his early education at Gécamines’ OUA Primary School in Kipushi town to his current role at KICO, Gödel Mulamba’s career tells a story of dedication to the DRC mining sector. He obtained his State diploma in biology/chemistry in 1998 from the Furaha Institute in Kipushi. After earning his metallurgy degree from the University of Lubumbashi in 2004, he began his journey as an intern at Kipushi’s underground mine.

His expertise in flotation processes developed through positions at several mining operations – Frontier SA, MMG/Kinsevere, Kapulo Mining, and Kamoa Copper. Now, Mulamba brings this wealth of experience back to his hometown as a key member of Kipushi’s production team.

While his career took him across the region, his heart never left Kipushi, where his family remained rooted. For Mulamba, joining KICO represents more than just a job – it’s a homecoming. His vision extends beyond personal success; he’s committed to helping establish KICO among the DRC’s leading mining companies within the next two years.
